How to plan a guest list

One of the hardest part of the wedding process unfortunately - who should you invite?
It’s your big day, you want everyone to see how amazing you look and see you exchange vows with that person who makes you giddy every time you see them! Unless you have a bottomless pit of money you’re not going to be able to invite every single person in your family and on your facebook friends list!
The best thing to do is write down everyone you would like to invite in some capacity. Don’t consider day or evening invites just yet or your budget!
Use our Wedding Guest Planning Tool here to help!
Done that? Great! Now I’m assuming you have a rather large list. What you now need to do is use some colours!
Immediate family
Make immediate family one colour (you, your other half, parents, siblings and grandparents). These will be the must have people.
Outter circle Family
These will still be blood relatives- Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Great-Great Grandparents and those who you are related to via the family tree.
Close Relatives
We all have those relatives that you aren't related to directly but are considered family members still.
Close Friends
These will be those who are bestfriends/ people you've known for years - probably some of them will be part of the wedding party already - now you have to decide whether to invite their partners as well.
Some people are fine with partners (especially when not married or have only been together less than a year) to only be included to the evening do.
Other friends
This is the rest of your friendship group, those who you perhaps see sometimes or just chat to occasionally - these people will be happy with just an evening invite i'm sure!
Work Colleagues
The toughy!! Do you invite your boss and the girl you sometimes talk to in accounts but who has suddenly become so interested in your wedding she's more excited than your mum about the planning!
If you have to invite work colleagues, an evening invite will suffice - they'll undertand how expensive it is, don't worry!
