Oh my god! Oh my god the big day is almost here! Panic!
Ok first step.....pour some wine. It'll all be fine so chill!
We've all had the last minute panics about what ifs and every worst case senario there is but on the day, as much as you've over planned everything to within an inch of its life, something will probably go wrong. And guess what? Most of the things you won't even notice or care about on the day.
So let's look at the prep in the short run up to the day....
Ensure the trusted ones know!
Get that detailed list of timings written down and put your bestie in charge. Make sure everyone knows the timings, you other half knows where to be and your chief bridesmaid – or your mum! – has a detailed list of things that need checking upon arrival the venue.
Has the cake arrived? Who do they call to chase anything up because they are sure as hell aren't calling the princess on her big day!
Check List before the day!
What are the rough timings for the day?
Create a list of the phone numbers and names of the suppliers
Who is taking the speech presents to the venue?
When and where are the bouquets and button holes being delivered to? (Make sure they go to the right addresses!)
What time is the videographer & photographer coming and leaving?
How far is it to the venue? Does anyone need a taxi booking from the bridal party? (note the name and number!)
Who is taking the Brides emergency bag? Where is it being placed for easy access?
Cash for the suppliers - who is looking after it for you?
Does the Top Table have a special bottle of champagne?
Do the smaller
Things to check on the day
Things to check at the venue
Has the cake arrived?
Have the flowers arrived?
Is the registrar onsite?
Are the speech presents under the top table or somewhere within easy reach?
Do the best men and groom have their button holes?
Are the orders or service being handed out/ placed on the chairs?
The Night Before You’ve probably got your best girls around you the night before –whether you’re at a hotel, your parents’ house or your own home make sure you relax and take time to yourself. You’ll need as much sleep as you can get before your wedding day so have a warm relaxing bath, ensure you have double checked everything you’ll need for the next day, pop some lavender on your pillow, drink lots of water, layer up the moisturiser, switch off all technology and get stuck into a book!
